Do you ever get that feeling that you should be doing something right now or you feel like you should take a new route instead of your usual route? Then it turns out you lucked out because your usual driving route was backed up in traffic.
Or maybe, you had a feeling about a person when you met them but decided it was nothing and it turns out you were correct all along.
I am probably not the only one that has experienced this... Alright, I can guarantee that everyone has experienced this at one time in their life and maybe you chose to hit the ignore button, or maybe you decided to listen to it.
Either way, that was your intuition talking to you.
That feeling, sometimes even a voice of reason that is urging you or giving you the slight nudge in a direction.
However, for many of us, it can be easy to tune it out. To ignore it because it seems illogical, or not correct. Hell, it is even easier now with the internet to block it out because we are constantly getting information spurting at us from all directions. It becomes even more challenging to sit in stillness and think for ourselves.
The reality is that intuition or 'psychic' abilities are not just for some special group of people and you had to be born with heightened gifts.
That is just a BIG FAT LIE.
Our intuition is innately in you and has been guiding you this whole time.
... Now if you are listening to it at all that is a whole nother story.
Whether you would like to deepen your connection to your spiritual practice, reawaken your intuition, or learn some tools that can help you live a more purposeful day, I have you covered. Here are 3 simple tools you can use to connect to your intuition daily.
1. Listen to your Body
Alright, let's talk about the first one and if not one of the most important ones, which is tapping into your body. Learning how it is feeling.
When I first started practicing yoga over 3 years ago, I was able to really tap into my body in a way I never had before. I learned where I was carrying a lot of tension in the hips, shoulders, and even in my jaw.
I was also more in tune with how my body was reacting to things moment to moment. For example, if you are presented with an opportunity to say, go skydiving.
Take a moment to see how that feels in your body.
Did you get excited? Scared? Contraction? Felt a hell no? Felt eager?
Really tune in to how you are feeling about a situation and how it makes you feel.
Your body contains more knowledge that you have the luxury of tapping into at any time.
So practice using it.
2. Remove Energetic Blocks
Oh, energetic blocks. We all have them whether or not they are apparent to us. They show up in patternings, people, and especially our beliefs.
For example, if we have a limiting belief that connecting to your intuition is "woo-woo" or just for yogis or even crazy people, you are blocking yourself from experiencing that connection to yourself.
So, looking at these beliefs when they pop up, getting to the WHY they are showing up aka to where the root of this began and shifting the narrative around them.
A big help with this can be with journaling. You can access my favorite journal prompts to help you uncover and get to the root of these limiting beliefs quicker.
3. Start Small with Meditation
Starting a meditation practice can be super beneficial to do this.
You are reducing your stress from the day and beginning to take a look inward.
I recommend starting with guided meditations as it can be helpful to have someone guide you during the process even if it is just for 5 minutes a day.
This small action is bringing you back to center and alignment with yourself simply by getting quiet and focusing on your breath and on your body.
It is important to start small, so you can build that muscle and begin to trust in it more.
Hopefully, these tips can give you greater insight into how you can RECONNECT to yourself more so that you can lean in and trust your gut a little bit more. For more tips, make sure to check out my podcast Reconnection for channeled messages, lessons, and inspiring guests!
