5 Signs It Is Time to Take a Leap of Faith

If you are reading this. I think you already know the answer.

The pull you are feeling to move into a new season, a new era of your life it is calling you in subtle or not so subtle ways.

But you feel as though there are blocks hindering you from making that move. Creating that step forward.

So, you wait for the right time, the right place, the right person. Hoping that one day it will all come into perfect alignment.

But life doesn't work like that. It moves in its ebbs and flows. There is never a right time. I know how cliche it sounds, but it is true. There is never the right time to do something.

There will always be your roadblocks, fears, that come up trying to stop you from achieving what it is that you want.

Your deepest desires.

You deepest wishes.

I see you.

Because I am you and I sure as hell have been in the exact position that you are in right now.

Wondering, "Will it work out?" "Is anyone gonna support me through this?"

These are just fears, valid ones no doubt, but there will always be those. There will always be something trying to move you down, to test you at any stage in your life.

If you are still shaking your head, clenching your jaw all while throwing your hands in the air and shouting, "I DON'T KNOW", here are 5 signs it is time to take a leap of faith.

1. You have an inner knowing that it is something you have to do.

For me, when it was time to quit my job. I knew it down to my core. I had an inner knowing that it was time to leave. That it was time for something new to come into my life. I knew this for months, 6 months to be exact, before ever taking action, before ever facing my fears and putting in my two weeks.

So if you have that gut feeling, that inner place of knowing that it is time to move on, listen and lean into that feeling.

2. Things are starting to break down.

When it is time to leave, the universe has a funny (or not so funny I don't know the type of humor you like) way of showing it.

For instance, if it is your job that you are feeling like it is ready to say bye-bye to, you may notice that your boss becomes more unbearable, you get piled on with more work, more drama, longer commutes, etc...

Say you are ready to move, you may see that you are being evicted, the school you send your kids to is closing, the classes that you really wanted to take that interest you are not being offered, something bad happened in your neighborhood (that usually doesn't).

The list could go on and on, but it will be unique to your situation and it can feel like everything is amplifying and/or crumbling down.

Why? You are quite literally being shifted into a new direction whether you are ready or not.

3. You KNOW you are supposed to do something else, something more.

Similar to #1 you may have a feeling deep down that there is something else out there for you. Maybe it is a new person, trying out the single life, a new career path, a new city.

You just know that there was something else out there that you were meant to do.

4. Fear of the unknown is saying, "What's up my dudes?!" + feeling overwhelmed/stressed

They say being uncomfortable is the only way to grow and to create massive change. In some regards this is true. Others it can be nice to feel safe and secure. But if the only thing holding you back is what is out there.

You aren't going to be given a treasure map that shows you where you need to go. The unknown is daunting and scary, I'm not gonna say it isn't. BUT it is also full of possibilities, of magic.

5. You're reading this.

I can't say this path is going to be rainbows and butterflies and that magically everything you have ever desired will fall into your lap.

I can't bullshit you.

What I can do is offer you this guidance. If you are ready to take that leap, make sure you have a cushion to land on financially(F U Fund or bridge job) and emotionally(Supportive + Non-Judgemental People) .

These big shifts rarely come without tests to see if you are in your worth, to see if you are ready for this next level of self. It comes with really trusting your vision for your life. Trusting that your needs will be met. Most importantly of all, trusting yourself.

If you are ready to step out and into the world as your own authentic self you will likely have to let go of things that once felt right for you. So you can create space for whatever else it is that you are desiring from life.

Things may be falling apart.

You may be feeling stuck.

You may have an energetic itch to switch it up.

It is so you can move to your next level, so you are able to show up and go after what it is that you desire.
