How to Start Taking Action and Stop Procrastinating

I’ve talked before about the impact that a growth mindset can have on your life. Simply put, it is an incredible way to grow your confidence and self-worth ... on autopilot.

But, what is the real game-changer here?

In fact, there are 5 specific things you should be doing on the regular, which can help you stop procrastinating that we’ll cover in-depth today!

I’ve also got plenty of examples so that you can get some ideas about actionable steps you can take.

Let’s dive in, yes?

First, let’s talk about what the heck actionable steps are?

Well, actionable steps are small steps you can take every day to quite literally take a step towards a goal.

You know the number one reason why people achieve their goals and are more productive, it is because they are clear about what they want. If you are still wishy-washy on what it is you want or you are letting fear take the reigns, procrastination and lack of motivation may be saying, “Hey girl what’s up?!”

To put it in simple terms: you are playing small.

Taking action is essential to changing your mindset.

I’ve said it a few times already, but one of the most IMPORTANT things you should know about cultivating worth & confidence is… ACTION.

You can’t be sitting on the couch waiting for things to magically fall in your lap, otherwise, we would all be doing that.

Why? Creating taking action tells the universe that you are ready to show up as your most badass self.

Even if it is 100% scary at first.

Think of it this way: When you take actionable steps towards your goals you will get results.

Sure you may get more lessons and triggers to work through, but you are getting to know the why behind them and how you are better able to show up as the person that you want to be.

It doesn’t have to mean quitting a job, ending a relationship, or something drastic as that, but it can be removing peeps that you compare yourself to on social media or just ones that you haven’t seen and probably won’t see ever again.

So what does that mean for you? Well, it means that in order to get real results, you’ve gotta take action (which IS totally doable).

Mindset is the foundation, faith is your beliefs, and action gets you the results.

Here are 5 ways that you can take actionable steps to make your goals happen:

1. Start Small

You don’t have to jump right into your biggest fear that you have been avoiding hardcore. Nope, you can start small. Say you want to make a food blog Instagram, but are worried about what other people might say about it. Well, starting small would to just be making that account on the ‘gram.

2. Have an accountability buddy or group

Tell someone what it is that you want to accomplish. Maybe you want to start eating healthier so you ask your friend to join you. Not only does this create a sense of community, BUT you are also being held accountable.

3. Make a list of what it is that you really want

Then, break down that is what you need to get there. Trust me, it can seem overwhelming, but breaking it down into smaller steps can make it more digestible. Does this look like getting up earlier so you have some quiet, focus time? Do you need to limit or eliminate social media for a day to give yourself some breathing room?

4. Set a deadline

Set a point in time on where you would like to be from now. Make it realistic to where you are now and what you have access to.

5. Take it one step at a time

It can be easy to be overwhelmed by having all of this leading to … stress. *gasp* You don’t have to do everything at once. Get one thing done, then move onto the next.

If you put all of these tips together, you’ll be well on your way to creating and sticking to your goals.
