This delicious Oil-Free Basil & Kale Pesto can be made in minutes with just 9 ingredients! You can buy Pesto in a jar or in the refrigerator section of your grocery store, but likely it is not vegan or without oil. I've tried countless recipes of this online and have had such difficulty finding one that tastes good, similar to the original, and is oil-free. Sad, I know. So I went on the mission of any recipe creator, and tried making it myself.
I used fresh basil from my garden. It is in abundance right now, so you can definitely find it at farmer's markets in summer. P.S. it is also a great houseplant. At a prior internship I had to write a blog post about this subject, so if you want the fresh basil year round it is a great plant to do so.
Anyways, lets get back to me telling you how good this Basil & Kale Pesto recipe is. This delicious paste works perfect in the recipe for sandwiches, noodles, toast, you name it! Plus, this recipe includes good for you ingredients like Avocado, which contains healthy fat, and Kale, which is high in antioxidants and full of vitamins. Woot woot.
